TST Trading Day 6

During today’s day trading I am working on staying between minus 20 to minus 30 ticks overall. I have been looking for a breakout trade basically all session. I have what I consider way too many trades on the day, but I have stayed inside my trading plan by keeping my losses small and allowing the winners to win bigger.

Regardless, I believe 15 trades on a trading day is enough. So I will be calling it quits for the trading session win or lose on this last trade. I am currently looking for the market to go and retest the low on the trading session at 4366 now.

TST Trading Day 6

So was today a good, bad or ugly kind of trading day? I stayed in plan the market didn’t really show which way it wanted to go and I was willing to trade up to 2 contracts at any given time depending upon the trade setup.

Although, I finish up 3 ticks on the trading session after you add in the commission costs on the trading session I am at a slight loss. The highest I was up on the trading day was when I was up plus 12 ticks after a few losing trades at 9 ticks each.

All in all, it was an interesting trading day … not a great one … but I stayed inside my trading plan and allowed myself the best possible chance to catch a real and true breakout. This was not to be inside my trading session today.

I believe my best trade setup was the long I took at 4399 and added another contract at 4409. That was my strongest position of the trading session, but the market decided not to play and the retracement got me as it hit the R1 line and retraced before moving up to what seems to be the high of session at 4470.

Have a great rest of your day … that’s all I got today.

Good Trading,
