… but I WANT to Believe!

In today’s Crude Oil Futures Trading, I was able to capture 52 ticks on 2 trading opportunities. The first lost 11 ticks and the 2nd trade earned 63 ticks profit. (See below for the time stamp of the trades.)

And … yes … it was “real” money trading today. I was able to bring my funded trading account up over the zero line again after having 3 trading losses in a row. After 7 trading days, I have had 2 winning days, then 3 losing days, and now 2 winning trading days to total the seven trading days overall.

Another point I would like to talk about is the following: http://tradingschools.org

A trading buddy, in the energy room at TST, sent me the following link and I spent alot of my Saturday, Sunday and Monday doing a lot of reading and reviewing of the website. It was very interesting to see some of the “scams” out there being outed out! Especially, the J.J. fellow that has been proven over and over again that is not trading real money.

One of the important things I got out of reading about this fellow was the amount of money you would have to spend to compete on the keywords, he is organically receiving. They estimated it at $5000 a month to be in competition with him. Obviously, I don’t have that kind of capital to spend against that. In fact, I am doing ZERO advertising for dollars right now. I receive some on google search and some by word of mouth.

There was another fellow I was surprised to read about who exclusively trades the CCI that had a negative review. Although, I have never put money in his course … I was surprised to see the negative review. And so much more … including people talking about their trading results at TST as well.

Futures Crude Oil Day Trading Charts: Short Trade Exit

I started seeing alot of red volume bars and I wanted to take my trading gains on the trading day. This was a good trade exit for me. The other trading opportunity I only took in my practice trading account below.

The Path of least resistance is to trade this SHORT … only go long … if you get the move and move back through the 200 Bar SMA … see trading video commentary on this trading opportunity.

Futures Crude Oil Day Trading Charts: Here is the 1st Close Above

It did not go back above the 200 Bar SMA on the charts and it sold off once again. In other words, until proven incorrect take the path of least resistance. Today, this was to remain a seller of the crude oil futures market.

Futures Crude Oil Day Trading Charts: Gann 4th Time Through (Breakout)

As you can see, the path of least resistance was to continue the short (selling) the crude oil market today.

Futures Crude Oil Day Trading Charts: TST Funded Trader Equity Curve

This is my equity curve at TopStepTrader (TST) after 7 trading days in the funded account. As you can see, I am up above the zero mark. The way I see it I have 2 more trading days to make a decision on redevelopment or not. My target is to get above 1K in gains by trading day 9 in the funded account.

I am within range of accomplishing this target goal.

Overall, there were three trading opportunities I talked about in today’s trading video.

  • TieBreaker
  • FakeOut
  • Gann 4th Time Through (trading channel breakout)

I was able to trade two of these today and I did not trade the Gann signal later in the trading session. I am doing my best to take only my best trading signals overall. Although, the Gann Signal is my favorite trading signal … it came very late in my trading session today. And I was pleased to be up over 400 in the funded account after being down.

Good Trading,

David M. Knight

P.S. I still have my emails out to funding at TST asking them to repeal the decision on the economic release on the EIA Report (Crude Oil Inventories) … so far … there has been nothing but silence … but I continue to remain hopeful.

P.S.S. Want to see how I trade? Go here for more details…
