Some Wisdom from the Book of Job

Hello Traders,

As I was doing my daily devotional today, I came across the passage I have certainly seen and read before, but today it struck a nerve with me …

Book of Job

Book of Job

“Submit to God, and you will have peace; then things will go well for you.  Listen to His instructions, and store them in your heart.  If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored – so clean up your life.

If you give up your lust for money and throw your precious gold into the river, the Almighty Himself will be your treasure.  He will be your precious silver!

Then you will take delight in the Almighty and look up to God.  You will pray to Him, and He will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows to Him.

You will succeed in whatever you choose to do, and light will shine on the road ahead of you.

If people are in trouble and you say, ‘Help them,’ God will save them.

Even sinners will be rescued; they will be rescued because your hands are pure.”

– Job 22: 21-30

Every Monday now going on 3 months, I have been spending an hour in therapy.  My time spent there is time I look forward to eagerly each week.  I can see myself getting better slowly – and sometimes even painfully – but getting better over time.

This is my TIME and I look forward to it each week.  It is a refreshing look back on the week, and then now I have some homework to work on each week to help me proceed on becoming a better person.

Perhaps, one day I will be good enough to allow other people into my inner circle, but for now I have shut this off until I feel adequately prepared for the hardships and disappointments that come with opening myself to other people.

My daily prayer … source serenity prayer.

Dear Father God,

My soul craves for PEACE allow me to walk forward without FEAR and allow COURAGE to fill my HEART with your God-given WISDOM to all who … truly SEEK You!

I hope and pray that I can be a good influence for you for the rest of my God-given days.

God Bless,
