Day Trading DT Lab Day 2 Minus 45 Ticks
Would you believe I got to close to the market and missed the long trade today? Yep! Did I do that … say it like Merkel.
Anyway … I gave back 1/2 of my trading gains … and you know I am good at doing that. You have to risk to gain though. It comes with the territory.
You win some and you lose some trading days.
I believe the market was going to head down, but I was proven wrong in the trading account as I missed the long and then got caught in the wash on the short.
Right now, I definitely believe the market will see 5333 before we go over 5411.
And … if I would have played my hand correctly today … then I would be at worst at breakeven on my day trading session.
The things that don’t kill us … what … that right … only makes us stronger as traders!

Day Trading DT Lab Day 2 Minus 45 Ticks
What can I say about today …
It falls under the W.S.C. component of trading. That is the Woulda … Shoulda … Coulda …
If I would have done this than I should have done that and I could have had this … it is all moot. What we are measured on in the end is what our trading account balance says and nothing else.
What …
My trading account balance on the 30K combine at TST says I lost 45 ticks today and I lost over 1/2 of my trading gains on a day I should have knocked it out of the park once again today.
It happens …
All I can say it SHIT happens. You win some and you lose some. I was very close to winning today, but I made a couple of critical mistakes during my trading session that cost me the trading day.
Can I recover? Certainly. I am very confident in my trading abilities when I see the correct trading setups that are in my wheelhouse. I should have not moved to breakeven on my long trade today and this would have put me in the bonus column today as well.
Remember … very … very close to 1P; instead of, just moving to breakeven on a whim when there is a ton of trading time left in the trading day. In other words, my motto should normally be 1P or 1/2R or Bust on pretty much every trade I put on!
Good Trading,
