Yikes Day Trading

Crude Oil Day Trading February 7th 2017

Not much to say about this day trading day … and not much good comes when I take more than 5 trades on a trading day. I was up 14 ticks best today … but decided to continue to trade …

You know what happens when you overtrade, right? Yep …

I went down 29 ticks overall on the day trading day. I was trying a few things out. This is what I have used the combine for previously. What I can ascertain is just like nothing good comes after 2AM …

SO …

Nothing good comes from me taking on any trades past 5 trades (single contracts). It is one of the 7 deadly sins … turning a winning day into a losing trading day.

Trust me …

We all have imperfections and faults. If you listen to the voice on your left shoulder … then … it can tell you things that simply are not true!

What can I add to a day that was boring as hell …

Well …

Boredom will lead you to do things you shouldn’t be doing … and trust me I told myself to turn off my trading station on several different occasions.

Here is some food for thought …

If the (Volatility Measurement is below 1.50 … then … it pays to be more disciplined in not only entries, but your sanity as well. Recently, we have been trading below this level and it is making me nuts.

Along with the added pressure of doing a live day trading room, it is enough to drive a man crazy. The question is will I continue the day trading room after the month is out …

I don’t really enjoy being on the stage, but I do like offering day trading advice. It is much easier to show what I did after the fact; instead of, in a live day trading environment.

So …

Where is my comfort zone? I thought I would try it out one more time … but I am not really enjoying doing a live day trading room. To be completely honest with everyone.

Will this change? I don’t know, but I am preparing for a live webinar trading class going over VTS in late February or early March. This will be a good time to see how I do things correctly, and hopefully you will learn a thing or two to boot.

Good Trading,

P.S. What is the ONE THING that has led to me becoming a successful trader over the years?
